The fight of who becomes what and who goes home in Enugu come 2023 has entered a new phase as many youths are being allegedly bribed to fight one another as regards 2023 general election.
Recall that recently Hon. Mark Onuoha (SA to the Governor) released an audio tape condemning Hon. Bar. Chima Obieze who, according to him wants to go for a third term as member House of Assembly Enugu State. Note that the SA and Hon. Chima are both from Ezeagu LGA and Chima is yet to officially declare an interest to contest for any elective position come 2023. Below is the audio tape.
He was of the opinion that Chima Obieze should not dare seek to be reelected into the house and he should publicly apologize to Senator Ike Ekweremmadu for political treachery. Below are some reactions from Enugu youths.
Recall also that Hon. Chima Obieze publicly said that he won't be supporting Senator Ike Ekweremmadu's ambition to run for the Governorship position come 2023. The reason, according to him is the zoning formula that has been in existence in Enugu State for so long now. He said that it is not yet the turn of Enugu West Senatorial District to produce the next Governor of Enugu State.
The above stand by Hon. Chima Obieze might be the reason while Hon. Mark Onuora is against him coming out for a third term.
After the audio tape by Hon. Mark, another information leaked that he collected the sum of 2 million Naira, a promise of 3 extra million and a car from Ekweremmadu's camp if he can public fight Hon. Chima Obieze. Many youths of Enugu State believed this to be the reason behind the audio tape.
The above has caused many commotions between the youths of Enugu State as many were seen sharing their different opinions (some in favour of the SA others against him) on why should youths be used to fight their fellow youths.
The new slogan amongst Enugu youths now is "Have you collected your own 2 million Naira?".
