The situation of our dear country has been so disturbing since the Buhari regime, everything is on the increase without any hope of it coming down. It is now a big deal for students to register for JAMB as the mandatory NIN registration has frustrated many.
Before you can register for JAMB, you have to first register for NIN if you don't have one, then send an SMS to NIN in order to get your Pin and Code.
The above is not even the issue here, the system will frustrate you and also charge you #50 per SMS, and you might try this for one week without getting any positive response.
Let's say you did your NIN registration earlier than 2022, you will be required to validate your NIN with at least #5,000 before you will be permitted to start the process of sending an SMS to get your Pin and Code.
Go to places like the new Secretariat Enugu State and see how they are frustrating students all in the name of registering for NIN in order for them to register for JAMB. Many people have been coming there for about a month now without any positive response.
The above stress doesn't mean the child will pass JAMB or gain admission into the university of his or her choice.
Why do we enjoy stressing people in this country? Why do we have untrained staffs with bad attitudes in our public offices? Why can't things be stress free in this part of the world?
I plead with those in charge of NIN and JAMB to look into these problems that our young ones are facing and make things easier for them. We can't keep blaming the younger generations for their fraudulent lifestyle which is caused by our inability to make things work in our country.
